The LSM RAM Agent:

Ubuntu Linux-based

Downloaded into the RAM of a Machine after PXE boot

Establishes a secure connection between the LSM Server and the Machine without its on-disk operating system running

Provides an Ubuntu CLI at the Machine's local console

oUser can ssh from the RAM Agent to the LSM Server

oUser can ssh from the LSM Server to the RAM Agent

Accesses the underlying, powered off operating system files located on the Machine's local storage using RAM Agent Scripts

Machine disk contents can be Captured (backed up) or Deployed (restored) as Snapshots (disk images)

oClonezilla is the LSM RAM Agent's integrated imaging engine

oClonezilla is a proven imaging solution, with broad acceptance and millions of downloads

oLinMin is a sponsor of the Clonezilla project. It has direct engineering communications with the project leader and team

RAM Agent Scripts:

oAre Ubuntu bash Scripts

oCan be User-supplied and several are included with LSM

oCan copy User-provided files to and from the LSM Server and the Machine's on-disk Target OS

RAM Agent-copied files can be User-provided Target OS Scripts (Windows, Linux, BSD or Scripts)

User-provided Target OS Scripts can be first-boot Scripts that can perform any number of system management tasks, including Machine personalization/de-personalization (e.g., sysprep.exe /generalize), software installation/configuration, service registration, etc.
