•Virtual (recommended if VM Snapshots are desirable) or physical x86-64/amd64 modern Machine
•Must use BIOS, not UEFI
•x86-64/amd64 architecture
•4GB+ RAM or more
•2+ cores
•Disk: plan for enough disk space to accommodate the disk images you will be storing.
oExpect an average 2.5 to 1 compression ratio for all major supported file system types. Examples:

LSM Server Software and Network Requirements:
•A Machine with RHEL or CentOS 7.x system installed from server ISO using only the "Minimal Install" software option
•Networked with:
-- a valid hostname - default localhost is not recommended, LSMservice is suggested
-- a static or consistent ethernet access IP on the intended LSM service subnet
-- access to a yum repository, remote WAN internet mirror or local to the LSM subnet
-- DNS service, remote WAN internet provided or local to LSM subnet
