While Ubuntu is provisioned using a DVD (and then accessing the Internet to access an Ubuntu repository), Debian is provisioned exclusively using remote repositories. Thus, there are no ISO-related preparation steps for Debian.
ISOs are best downloaded from the Internet.
Only DVD media is supported by Cisco. DVD ISOs can be obtained at no charge from remote repositories, such as:
http://mirrors.kernel.org/ubuntu-releases/
If you have the Operating System on a DVD or CD-ROM, extract your ISO from the physical media.
